The Philadelphia Eagles are sending three players to the Pro Bowl this year: Fletcher Cox, Jason Peters, and Darren Sproles. One notable Eagles player who got snubbed from the selection was Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins. Not that the Pro Bowl really matters or anything, but Jenkins was arguably one of the biggest snubs in the league.
Jenkins was named as a Pro Bowl alternate, however. But he didn't seem to thrilled to find out what alternate he was.
I was disappointed with the news of being a #ProBowl alternate, but things happen. There are a lot of guys playing good ball.

But today I asked "which alternate am I?" Shocked when I heard 7th!!! So I'm the alternates' alternate ... #ProBowl #justgottalaugh

Former Eagles Brian Westbrook and Jamaal Jackson were just as disappointed as Jenkins.
There's no way they said your a 7th alternate with a straight face!! https://t.co/4ntQZ6fCUr

@MalcolmJenkins that's BS!!!!

Jenkins is certainly deserving of being more than the seventh alternate at safety. But he could have made a stronger case for himself had he not dropped some key interceptions, such as one in the Washington game, this season.
