Andre Ellington Injury: Cardinals running back reportedly out for Eagles game

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Cardinals running back Andre Ellington is reportedly out for Arizona's game against the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday night, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Ellington missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday before being a limited participant in practice on Friday. As Schefter notes, he was ruled questionable for this Eagles-Cardinals game. With Ellington reportedly out, the Cardinals will rely upon rookie running back David Johnson

Ellington has been effective in limited playing time this season. He's rushed for three touchdowns and 247 yards on just 36 carries, which is a nice 6.9 average. He also has 13 receptions for 136 total receiving yards. The Eagles allowed one touchdown and 85 yards from scrimmage to Ellington when they played the Cardinals last season.

The Eagles have no players listed worse than probable on their injury report.
