The Philadelphia Eagles play the New England Patriots this week. Despite the fact that the Eagles have been outscored 90-17 in their last two games, Bill Belichick is not taking the Birds lightly. If anything, he might be taking them too seriously. Check out these comments Belichick made about the Eagles this week:
Bill Belichick said this about the Eagles: "They can score from anywhere on the field in 1 or 2 plays. It's hard to keep them contained."

Uh ...
Belichick says the #Eagles are very tough to play against. " " -- Lions, Bucs

Yeah, about that ...
Bill Belichick: "The Eagles have a tremendous group of skill players. They're literally two deep at every position -- or more."

Miles Austin. Riley Cooper. DeMarco Murray. Tremendous!
So, obviously Belichick is just being nice. This is standard for him. It's not like he's going to say "The Eagles are pretty awful." But it's pretty amazing that he was able to say some of these things with a straight face given how bad the Birds have been lately. He might be the most positive-thinking person about the Eagles right now.
