The Philadelphia Eagles are set to work out Eric Rogers from the Canadian Football League on Friday, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Eagles are just one of the 14 teams set to work out the tall wide receiver.
Top CFL prospect Eric Rogers, a 6-foot-4, 215-lb WR, visited Chargers yesterday and visiting Eagles on Friday, per source. 14 visits in all.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) December 17, 2015
Rogers played college football at Division III California Lutheran University. He signed the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2013 before joining the Arena Football League in 2014. From there, Rogers signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL. Rogers finished with 87 receptions for 1,448 yards (16.4) and 10 touchdowns in 2015.
The Eagles could certainly afford to add another receiver. Their current corps hasn't been very productive this season. Jordan Matthews currently leads Philadelphia in receptions (64), yards (680), and touchdowns (4). No one else has more than 22 catches.
Here are some of Rogers' college highlights:
