The Philadelphia Eagles will wear their all-black uniforms against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football this week. The team hinted at #BlackSunday on their Snapchat account before making the official announcement on Twitter (hooray for social media):
The Eagles have worn their all-black jerseys three times since debuting them during the 2014 season. Philadelphia beat the Giants once last year and once this year while wearing them, but also lost to the Seattle Seahawks last season. Maybe wearing them against another NFC West team isn't such a good idea? But then again, the Eagles don't necessarily need a win on Sunday night.
Philadelphia's black uniforms tend to be polarizing. I always like to see the response to this news. Some people really like them, some people really don't. Personally, I'm in favor of them.
Each team is allowed to wear their alternate uniforms a maximum of twice per season, so this game marks the final time the Eagles will wear them.
