Let's get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...
Barring a miraculous turnaround, Eagles should part ways with Chip Kelly - PhillyVoice
If the Eagles keep Kelly in 2016, he fails again, and the Eagles are looking for a new head coach in 2017, they may have already drafted a quarterback that does not fit what the new coach wants to accomplish. A new coach in 2016 can hand-pick his quarterback and grow with him, a la Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb.
Stay or Go? - Iggles Blitz
Lurie was loyal to Reid, but that was built up over time. They had a good relationship. I have no idea if Chip is close with Lurie or not. They have spent almost 3 years together, but Chip isn’t known as a big time socializer so who knows. I do know that Lurie is both smart and patient. He won’t be afraid to make a move if he thinks it is the right thing to do. He also won’t make a move for the sake of change. He went all-in with Chip less than a year ago. Is all that faith gone this quickly?
Eagles Wake-Up Call: Bradford And the Stretch Run - Birds 24/7
While he hasn't been stellar, proper context is needed when evaluating the 28-year-old. This team, as we're starting to see, is a mess. The offensive line has major issues and the playmakers have failed to make plays. Missed assignments; incorrect reads; drops, drops and more drops. Even with all that, Bradford is on pace for career highs in both completion rate (64 percent) and yards per attempt (6.86). He was playing well over his last three games before getting hurt; left the Miami game with a good stat line (19/25, 236, TD) and a three-point lead. The Eagles have been outscored 97-34 in the two-plus games in his absence. Is that a total coincidence?
Can Eagles pull off a miracle? - Daily News
THEY ARE one game out of first place. When you say it like that, it doesn't sound so bad. Forget the Eagles' 4-7 record, forget how their last two games played out and flip those easily avoidable losses to the Dolphins, Redskins and the Falcons, we might even be talking about repairing this thing in time to fend off the rest of the miserable slop that inhabits the NFC East Division. But really, what level of insanity does it take to believe they have a chance to beat the mighty Patriots Sunday? Even a wounded edition.
Quarterback Still THE Big-Picture Story - PE.com
Five games remain in the regular season. A division title, whether you want to hear it or not, remains within reach for an Eagles team that has lost three consecutive games. And the biggest discovery still out there? The quarterback position, of course ...
Kelly: Sam Bradford to practice Tuesday, still starting QB - CSN Philly
Sam Bradford will be back at practice on Tuesday as the Eagles start preparations to play New England, head coach Chip Kelly said on Monday. Bradford (shoulder) was inactive against the Lions on Thanksgiving after being a full participant in last Wednesday’s practice. Kelly explained Bradford was a full participant in that practice because it was a light workout the day before a game.
Signed, cut, re-signed: In pursuit of the NFL dream with mostly one team - SI.com
Free-agent offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde has those steps committed to memory, at least when it comes to the Eagles, who have released him three times since the beginning of September and have signed and cut him six times each in total since they drafted him with the 30th pick of the fifth round (No. 161) in 2011. Aside from a one-month stint in 2012 with the Buccaneers (who in that span signed him, released him two days later, added him to their practice squad and dropped him from their practice squad), Philadelphia is the only franchise Vandervelde knows, accounting for all 16 regular-season games he’s played in and 14 of the 18 transactions that outline the stop-start-repeat roadmap of his five years as a pro.
Ravens beat Browns on 'kick six' in most absurd 'Monday Night Football' ending imaginable - SB Nation
With the score tied, 27-27, the Browns were kicking for the win. They wouldn't get it because the Ravens blocked the kick and Will Hill returned it ALL THE WAY FOR A TOUCHDOWN. WHAT. So from kicking for a 30-27 win to losing 33-27, the Browns had one of the Brownsier endings we've ever seen.
