The Philadelphia Eagles officially signed Emmanuel Acho to their 53-man roster on Monday evening, according to an official announcement from the team.

Acho himself broke the news earlier on Monday with the following tweet:

This moves makes a lot of sense. The Eagles had an open roster spot after having to place potential Defensive Rookie of the Year Jordan Hicks on the season-ending injured reserve list. Acho has experience in Philadelphia's defense and can contribute on special teams. The fact that he's a good locker room guy is a nice bonus.
The Eagles originally acquired Acho in a trade with the Cleveland Browns during the 2013 offseason. The Eagles gave up Dion Lewis, whom the Patriots happened to place on the injured reserved list on Monday, in the deal. Acho spent some time on Philadelphia's practice squad in 2013 before being called up to the main roster. Acho remained with the team and played 14 games with the Eagles in 2014. The Eagles waived Acho with an injury settlement in late August, but he recently became eligible to re-sign with the team.
Welcome back, Acho man.
