Earlier this week, a report emerged which indicated Sam Bradford turned down a four-year contract worth up to $72 million from the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the beginning of the 2015 NFL season. Speaking to the media after practice on Wednesday, Bradford laughed while essentially denying the report.
Bradford on report he turned down contract: "That offer must have gotten lost in the mail because I don’t know if I ever saw that one."

Bradford has been reluctant to talk about his contract status in the past, so it was at least a little surprising he was open with his answer.
Bradford's denial follows a report from NFL insider Mike Garafolo that the Eagles did offer a contract similar to the one that was reported by Howard Eskin, but the guaranteed money was not high.
.@MikeGarafolo said on @975TheFanatic that the Eagles didn’t offer a lot of guaranteed money to Bradford in this deal.

Whether a contract was offered or not is virtually irrelevant now. Bradford has played very poorly this season, and it's up to him to turn things around in the second half of the schedule if he wants to receive a good contract offer after the season is over.
