Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is not going to USC. This much we know since the Trojans hired a new permanent head coach. Reports emerged, however, that Kelly entertained a meeting with USC officials in Philadelphia on Friday. Kelly denied those rumors during his Monday afternoon press conference.
Chip laughed at suggestion that he met with USC in Philly on Friday. Said he was in New Hampshire on Friday

Kelly went on to say he's never been interested in leaving the Eagles to go back to college since he's been hired.
Chip: "I've never been looking for college jobs. I can't control what's written. Never discussed another college job since I came here."

An ESPN report also claims Kelly and USC were never in contact:
A source told McMurphy that USC never talked with Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly, but school officials did have discussions with a representative of FSU coach Jimbo Fisher and former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano -- along with other current NFL coaches and assistants.
One could theorize the reports about USC's meeting with Kelly is to make the Trojans look good for exhausting their coaching options.
Kelly's future with the Eagles is still unclear. For now, it seems like he's committed to staying.
UPDATE: USC confirms they didn't interview Chip Kelly.
