There's certainly no love for the Philadelphia Eagles to be found after the Birds lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday by a final score of 45-17. The Eagles got their butts kicked and now questions are being raised about this team's effort level. One Eagles player anonymously called out DeMarco Murray. Now it's Byron Maxwell, another big free agent signing the Eagles made, who is being targeted. This time, it's not an anonymous player calling him out. Instead, it's former Eagles president and current ESPN personality Joe Banner:
It is disturbing when Maxwell doesn't cover well, but his lack of effort and toughness yesterday is something you almost never see in the NFL

The Eagles signed Maxwell to a contract this offseason worth up to $63 million with $25 million guaranteed. They desperately needed help at cornerback, but it's hard to say Maxwell has lived up to the big expectations.
