Today we kick off the 2015 November edition of Philadelphia Eagles approval polls with Chip Kelly.
The last time we polled Kelly's approval was over a month ago. Kelly finished with a mere 40% approval rating in early October. Many were disappointed with how the team got off to a 1-3 start following a preseason that set such high expectations.
Things have improved since then. The Eagles are 3-1 in their last four games which puts them back at .500. They're very much alive in a weak NFC East. In fact, despite the New York Giants currently being in first place, many consider the Eagles to be favorites to win the division. NumberFire and Football Outsiders are two outlets that currently give Philadelphia a ~59% chance to win the NFC East crown.
Philadelphia has shown a lot of offensive improvement after early in the season. The Eagles are actually the best rushing team in the NFL since Week 3. Sam Bradford has been far from great, but it appears he might be starting to turn the corner. Or maybe he'll go back to being a turnover machine, who knows. Still, there are encouraging signs of progress for now.
Despite the Eagles' progress, there are still plenty of legitimate concerns about this team, such as their bad first quarter performances. They still don't appear to be much of a championship contender. Kelly deserves credit for making some adjustments and getting the Eagles back in position to compete for the division, but he still has a lot of work cut out for him in the second half of this season.
So, do you approve of the job Chip Kelly has done with the Philadelphia Eagles? Vote now in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
