Eagles Injury Report: Lane Johnson expects to start at left tackle again

New, comments

A Thursday update on the Eagles' Week 10 injury situation.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles released their second official injury report in advance of their Week 10 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Starting left tackle Jason Peters was limited in practice for the second straight day. After practice, Lane Johnson told reporters he expects to start in place of Peters yet again, but nothing is official yet. If Peters can't play, Johnson will start on the left side while Dennis Kelly starts at right tackle.

Starting safety Malcolm Jenkins returned to practice as a full participant after being cleared from his concussion. Jenkins originally hid his concussion from the Eagles, which isn't good. He should be ready to play this weekend.

Veteran inside linebacker DeMeco Ryans returned to practice as a full participant after being limited on Wednesday. Ryans said he expects to play this weekend. The Eagles will have to figure out how they're going to divide snaps at inside linebacker after losing Jordan Hicks to a season-ending pectoral injury. Ryans will share playing time with Mychal Kendricks and Kiko Alonso.

Starting Riley Cooper also returned to practice as a full participant after being limited on Wednesday.

Reserve players Jerome Couplin and Josh Andrews were the only two Eagles who didn't practice. Couplin has been out since suffering an injury during the Eagles-Cowboys game. Andrews suffered an injury during Wednesday's practice and has essentially be ruled out of this week's game. Philadelphia signed Julian Vandervelde to temporarily take Andrews' spot as a backup guard/center.
