Eagles-Saints Injury Report: Jason Peters questionable, Lane Johnson probable

A final update on the Eagles' Week 5 injury situation.

Jeffrey G. Pittenger-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles released their final official injury report in advance of their Week 5 game against the New Orleans Saints.

Three Eagles players have been ruled out, including starting inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks and Kiko Alonso. The other player who won't play is reserve defensive end Brandon Bair. Bair may have been inactive anyway now that starting defensive end Cedric Thornton and backup Taylor Hart are now back.

Starting left tackle Jason Peters is listed as questionable. On Thursday, the veteran said he is going to play. Last week Peters was ruled questionable against Washington and only played six snaps before having to leave the game early. The team will hope he's able to make it through the game this time, but it's clear he's not 100%, which is a concern.

Elsewhere, starting right tackle Lane Johnson is probable to play. Johnson is dealing with an MCL injury and an ankle issue so he's really banged up as well.

Starting cornerback Byron Maxwell is probable to play, as expected. Maxwell left the Washington game early with an injury.

Nickel safety Chris Maragos is expected to return this week after sitting out last week's game. The return of Maragos could mean less playing time for E.J. Biggers and/or Eric Rowe.
