Today we kick off the 2015 October edition of Philadelphia Eagles approval polls with head coach Chip Kelly.
The last time we polled Kelly's approval was one month ago. Kelly finished with a 92% approval rating in early September. That poll took place before the Eagles' 2015 season officially started. There was a lot of hype surrounding the Eagles and expectations were high due to the team's success in preseason.
Since then, however, things have taken a turn for the worse. The Eagles are off to a 1-3 start. The entire offense is majorly struggling. Philadelphia is failing to throw, block, catch, pass, and run the ball. Kelly's once-great offense has devolved into a unit that makes getting a first down seem like a chore.
Kelly has also struggled as a general manager. The early returns on his major offseason acquisitions haven't been encouraging. The injury-prone Kiko Alonso has missed several games and will miss several more. DeMarco Murray has struggled to get going behind an offensive line that Kelly neglected. Sam Bradford doesn't look like much of a franchise quarterback. Byron Maxwell has struggled to look anything close to a shutdown cornerback. First round pick Nelson Agholor ranks as the lowest graded wide receiver in the NFL by Pro Football Focus. And so on.
There's still time for Kelly to get things turned around. One would think the Eagles coach built up a decent amount of goodwill due to his 20-12 start in Philadelphia. But that won't last forever. The Eagles are 2-6 in their last eight games and he needs to find a way to salvage this season.
So, do you approve of the job Chip Kelly has done with the Philadelphia Eagles? Vote now in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
