Eagles Snap Counts: Ryan Mathews needs more playing time

Here are the player snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles' loss to the Carolina Panthers.

The following players were ruled inactive prior to the game: Kiko Alonso, DeMeco Ryans, Brandon Bair, Nelson Agholor, Tanner Hawkinson, Denzel Rice, Thad Lewis.

The following player(s) were active but did not play: Mark Sanchez.

NOTES:

Ryan Mathews didn't get enough playing time. He was clearly the Eagles' most effective running back, finishing with 97 yards and one touchdown on six carries.

For the second straight week, Zach Ertz finished with the most snaps of any skill player. He had five catches for 63 yards.

Josh Huff had the most snaps of any receiver yet managed to finish with only two receptions for five yards. He dropped a touchdown catch.

Dennis Kelly came in when Jason Peters left the game early due to injury. Kelly took over at right guard while Tobin shifted out to left tackle.
