New York Giants defensive lineman Damontre Moore has been fined $20,000 for his late hit on Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, according to a report from Jordan Raanan of NJ Advance Media.
The play took place early in the game during Philadelphia's 27-7 victory over New York on Monday Night Football. It was a really dumb and unnecessary penalty by Moore. For some reason, Moore was inspired to pick up and body-slam Bradford to the ground after the quarterback attempted a pass on third-and-10 that went incomplete. Moore was flagged for roughing the passer. Moore's penalty proved to be costly as the Eagles marched down the field and tied the game at seven points each. Bradford hit an open Riley Cooper in the end zone for the tying score.
