Eagles-Redskins Injury Report: DeMarco Murray, Mychal Kendricks ruled questionable to play

A final update on the Eagles' Week 4 injury situation.

Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles released their final official injury report in advance of their Week 4 game against the Washington Redskins.

Three Eagles players have been ruled out, including inside linebacker Kiko Alonso. Reports indicate Alonso could return to football in a month or less. With Alonso out, impressive rookie Jordan Hicks should get some playing time.

Starting defensive end Cedric Thornton and backup Taylor Hart are also out. Both players returned to practice this week after missing last week's game. The Eagles will lean on Brandon Bair to start at defensive end with Vinny Curry coming off the bench. Bair played really well in Week 3.

Eagles starting running back DeMarco Murray is listed as questionable despite being a full participant in practice the past two days. Murray missed last week's game with a hamstring injury. If Murray can't play or is limited, expect the Eagles to lean on Ryan Mathews.

Starting inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks is questionable to play despite being a full participant in practice all week.

Starting left tackle Jason Peters is also ruled questionable. Earlier this week, Chip Kelly said he expects Peters to play.

With Andrew Gardner and Cody Parkey being placed on injured reserve earlier this week, Matt Tobin is expected to start at right guard and Caleb Sturgis at kicker.
