The Philadelphia Eagles released their first official injury report in advance of their Week 6 game against the New York Giants.
Four Eagles players did not practice: rookie wide receiver Nelson Agholor, inside linebacker Kiko Alonso, inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks, and backup defensive end Brandon Bair.
If Agholor can't play, it could open up more playing time for ... Miles Austin. The veteran receiver took the bulk of snaps after Agholor left the game early last week with Riley Cooper and Josh Huff splitting time at the other receiver spot.
After Thursday's practice, Kendricks told reporters he might try to participate on Friday. Alonso and Kendricks potentially being out another week means Jordan Hicks and DeMeco Ryans will start in the middle of the defense. The rookie Hicks has been a stud while Ryans has been surprisingly solid coming off his second career Achilles injury.
Bair being out isn't a huge deal because he might be inactive on game day now anyway that Cedric Thornton and Taylor Hart are back.
No one else was listed on Philadelphia's injury report, which is a good sign for the team.
