The Philadelphia Eagles 2015 NFL schedule continues on Sunday afternoon as the team is scheduled to play the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. It's an NFC battle between two struggling 1-3 teams desperate to keep their seasons alive.
Yet again, the Eagles find themselves in a must-win situation. They are already in a really bad spot at 1-3 with an 0-3 record in the conference and an 0-2 record in the division. A loss to the Saints would drop the Eagles to 1-4 and 0-4 in NFC games. Meanwhile, an Eagles win could elevate the team to 2-3 with a 1-3 conference record. That's not great, but it would potentially keep them alive in a weak NFC East division.
It's hard to have a lot of confidence in the Eagles right now. The offense looks horrible, and the entire team is suffering as a result. If there's some good news for Philadelphia, it might be that they get to face one of the NFL's worst defenses this week. Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's unit ranks dead last overall by Football Outsiders. Sam Bradford and the Eagles passing attack could look to attack this New Orleans secondary. Of course, the Eagles might not have much time to throw if their injured offensive line continues to struggle.
On the other side of the ball, Drew Brees will be looking to build off his best performance of the season. Brees knows he's nearing the end of his career and he needs to make the most of what time he has left.
Both teams are desperate. Who will win?
