The Eagles left guard is headed to Arizona.

For the second year in a row, Eagles left guard Evan Mathis is headed to the Pro Bowl. Mathis, who was originally named a second team alternate, is set to take the place of injured New Orleans Saints guard Jahri Evans.

Mathis is the sixth Eagles player and third offensive lineman to be named to the 2015 Pro Bowl. Mathis will join offensive tackle Jason Peters, running back LeSean McCoy, running back/punt returner Darren Sproles, center Jason Kelce, and outside linebacker Connor Barwin in Arizona. As Zach Berman points out, Mathis lives in Scottsdale during the offseason so this will be pretty convenient for him.

Mathis, who turned 33 in November, missed seven games in 2014 after suffering an MCL injury in the Eagles' season opener. Philadelphia placed Mathis on the injured reserve/designated to return list in order to get him back by Week 10. Despite only playing in nine games, Mathis finished as the second highest overall graded guard by Pro Football Focus.

Mathis is now tied with Shawn Andrews for the most Pro Bowl honors (2) for an Eagles guard.
