Eagles showing early interest in defensive backs at Senior Bowl - PhillyVoice
In 2013, the Eagles had the 32nd ranked pass defense. In 2014, they were ranked 31st and gave up the third most pass plays of 20+ yards in NFL history. The failure of the defensive secondary was an enormous contributing factor to the end of their season. If who they are conducting their interviews with on the first day of the Senior Bowl is any indication, the Eagles are trying to fix their personnel issues on the back end of their defense. Three defensive backs competing at the Senior Bowl told PhillyVoice.com that they have meetings with Chip Kelly tonight. They are listed below.

Hot For Hundley? - Iggles Blitz
I am still not sure what to make of Hundley. He has the potential to be a very good NFL starter, but you have no idea if he’ll ever come close to realizing that potential. The mental part of the game is his biggest weakness…and we’re talking about college football. Things get much harder in the NFL. Interviews are going to be critical for him. Hundley is going to have to sell some team that he can learn and will work his butt off to become a good NFL QB. If you could draft him with a mid-round pick, Hundley would be a no-brainer (which would be fine even if he turned out to be a no-brainer). The problem is that a guy with his physical potential won’t last that long. EJ Manuel wasn’t nearly as good as Hundley and went in the mid-1st. I doubt he makes it out of the 2nd round, if he falls that far.

Chip Not Chatty: ‘When We Find the Right Guy’ - Birds 24/7
Chip Kelly departed the sideline at Fairhope Municipal Stadium Tuesday afternoon at about 4:25 and headed for the exit. Other than a TV appearance before the Oregon-Ohio State game, the Eagles’ head coach has been silent publicly since the day after the season ended. So as he made his stroll, Kelly was swarmed by a handful of reporters looking to sneak a couple questions in. But he didn’t break stride and said he was headed to his hotel to shower.

2015 Senior Bowl: Observations, winners and losers from Day 1 of practice - NJ.com
Josh Shaw, CB, USC: Shaw's day started off on a high note, weighing in at a ripped 6-foot-0, 198 pounds. His day got better during practice, as he had a great one-on-one drill. On one play, facing off against Michigan State wide receiver Tony Lippett, Shaw ripped the ball out of Lippett's hands. Shaw is a very physical player.

Senior Bowl: Pauline's Day 1 Risers - PE.com
Ameer Abdullah/RB/Nebraska – In a nutshell …wow! Abdullah, 5-8, 198, is fast on film and even faster in person. He has a great burst which he turns on in a single step and is able to run away from defenders once in open field. His pass-catching skills out of the backfield were top notch and he looked seamless when lined up as a receiver.

What to expect from Marcus Smith in Year 2 with Eagles - The 700 Level
Critics’ worst fears were realized in 2014 with Marcus Smith, the Philadelphia Eagles’ first-round pick. It’s almost as if his rookie season never actually happened. Smith played on just 68 defensive snaps in addition to 37 on special teams, failing to register an official NFL statistic in the process. Actually, even the most skeptical projections on Smith likely couldn’t have predicted he would be that useless. Sure, most published rankings had a second- or third-round grade on the Louisville product, but that still ought to be good enough to crack the lineup occasionally.

Timing for Eagles' ongoing 'GM' search troubling - CSN Philly
The Senior Bowl proceedings are this week in Mobile, Ala. Weigh-ins. Practices. A game on Saturday. Lots of people from around the NFL are down there eyeballing prospective players. It marks the unofficial acceleration of the frenzied pre-draft scouting season. Chip Kelly is in Mobile. His staff is in Mobile. Most of it. Not all. It was more than two weeks ago when Kelly won The Great Front Office Fight of 2015. Howie Roseman was demoted by promotion and sent off to sit in his office and play with his graphing calculator and not get in Kelly’s way. These things happen. That created a vacancy in the personnel department.

Mock draft 1.0: Winston is right fit for Bucs - NFL.com
18) Marcus Mariota - Given Andy Reid’s reputation for developing quarterbacks, Kansas City would be the ideal spot for Mariota to grow into a franchise player.

The Pro Bowl has weird, confusing rules - SB Nation
Smaller goal posts! More timeouts! Wait why would you give them more timeouts can't we just get this over with?
