Eagles outside linebacker Connor Barwin is reaping the benefits of his great 2014 performance. Barwin's 14.5 sacks, which rank tied for fourth in the league, have helped him earn recognition he deserves. The 28-year-old player was named to the 2015 Pro Bowl along with earning second team AP All-Pro honors.
But while recognition is great and everything, cold hard cash is even better, right? According to Adam Caplan, Barwin's efforts last season have earned him a nearly $1 million upgrade in base salary.
#Eagles OLB Connor Barwin hit his full escalator worth $900,000, so his base salary for 2015 will rise from $5.5 M to $6.4 M.

Not too bad. The Eagles have plenty of cap space so they won't mind seeing Barwin's salary go up. He certainly played well enough to deserve it.
Barwin isn't the only Eagles player who received a little extra money this offseason. Eagles running back Darren Sproles earned a cool $100K for making the Pro Bowl. It's the first time in his career that Sproles has earned this honor.

Not too bad.
Barwin and Sproles were both critical to an Eagles team that finished 10-6 and just short of the playoffs in 2014. The Eagles front office certainly got it right when it came to signing Barwin and trading for Sproles.
