NFL Mock Draft 2015: Eagles pick Trae Waynes

The mock drafts are back and here to stay.

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

The Eagles season is over and there are 108 days until the 2015 NFL Draft starts on April 30, 2015, so let's kill some time with our regularly schedule Mock Draft Monday series. Picks 1-28 of the 2015 NFL Draft order are now set.

Last week Dan Kadar of SB Nation's Mocking the Draft released a mock draft that featured FSU quarterback Jameis Winston falling to No. 5. This week he has Winston going No. 1 overall while the Tennessee Titans take Heisman winner Marcus Marota at No. 2. Last week Kadar had the Eagles taking Alabama safety Landon Collins at No. 20. This week's edition features a different defensive back.

20. Philadelphia Eagles: Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State

"The pick for the Eagles keeps going back and forth in these mock drafts from a cornerback to Alabama safety Landon Collins. Just watch it become UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley, or something. Until some word about that sort of thing leaks out, defensive back remains the target. Waynes is arguably the best cornerback in the draft and can be positioned to start on the outside where he excels in man coverage."

Waynes is a 22-year-old redshirt junior that's already drawn the interest of Eagles fans. He fits the mold of bigger cornerbacks that Philadelphia likes: Waynes measures in at 6-1, 182 pounds.
