It looks like Ifeanyi Momah will not be back for his third off-season with the Eagles. The long-and-lanky receiver has been signed to the Browns practice squad, according to Nate Ulrich of Akron Beacon Journal. Momah was released during the Eagles final cuts and was not signed to the team's practice squad.
Eagles fans have developed a superficial attraction to Momah over the last two years. The 6-foot-7, 239-pound receiver looks pleasing to the eye, but not on the football field. In fairness, he had a much-improved training camp, but seemed to stumble (literally, like for no reason) in the preseason. Despite getting starting reps with Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper nursing injuries, Momah ended the preseason with six catches for 55 yards (9.2 YPR) and two fumbles (both lost).
While it is easy to love Momah or get frustrated with his undeserved fan appreciation, the truth is that he was a camp body that earned himself a job elsewhere. I think I speak for the entire BGN staff when I say that we wish Momah all the luck in the world and are happy we will have another Na Brown favorite next off-season.
