Eagles open 2014 NFL season with win over Jaguars [Photo Gallery]

Here are some picture highlights from the Eagles' 34-17 win over the Jaguars.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 to open the 2014 NFL season with a 34-17 victory.

It was far from a pretty win. The Eagles turned the ball over early and Jacksonville took advantage. The Jaguars jumped out to a 17-0 start and it looked like it was going to be an ugly game for Philadelphia. Momentum started to shift in the second half, however, when Eagles offseason Darren Sproles sparked the offense with a career-long 49-yard touchdown run.

Despite early struggles from quarterback Nick Foles, the offense finally got moving and ended up scoring 27 points in a half of game time. Defensive lineman Fletcher Cox recovered a loose fumble for a touchdown to seal the game (and cover the spread).

The Eagles are now 1-0 and in sole possession of first place in the NFC East. Not a bad start to a new season.
