The Philadelphia Eagles have announced their inactive list in preparation for their NFL Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Eagles third string running back Chris Polk is inactive. Polk, who missed most of the summer with a hamstring injury, said he expected to play but was listed as questionable on the team's final injury report. Polk was listed as a full participant in practice all week.
With Polk out, the Eagles have two healthy active running backs: starter LeSean McCoy and veteran role-player Darren Sproles.
Notable actives include rookie first round pick outside linebacker Marcus Smith II and undrafted rookie free agent tight end Trey Burton. Smith II is expected to play in a "limited role" on Sunday. Burton could contribute on special teams and potentially serve as the team's third string running back due to Polk being out.
Rookie wide receiver Josh Huff (shoulder) and second-year offensive lineman Matt Tobin (ankle) were both ruled out for this game due to injury earlier in the week.
Eagles Inactives List:
Josh Huff - Injury.
Matt Tobin - Injury.
Jaylen Watkins - Injury.
Chris Polk - Injury.
Denis Kelly - OT.
Taylor Hart - Depth DE.
Matt Barkley - Depth QB.
