Eagles-Jaguars Injury Report: Chris Polk questionable, Josh Huff out

The final injury report prior to the Philadelphia' Eagles Week 1 match-up versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

The Philadelphia Eagles have released their final injury report prior to their NFL Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Rookie wide receiver Josh Huff and offensive lineman Matt Tobin have both been ruled out. Neither participated in practice this week. Earlier in the week Tobin indicated that he suffered a high ankle sprain and may not be ready to return for another two-to-three weeks. Huff has been out since mid-August with an AC sprain. Veteran cornerback Nolan Carroll II will return kicks in Huff's absence.

Running back Chris Polk and rookie cornerback Jaylen Watkins have both been ruled questionable. Polk has been a full participant in practice this week and said he expects to play. Polk missed most of the summer with a slight hamstring tear. Watkins did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to a hamstring issue.

Wide receivers Riley Cooper and Brad Smith have been full participants in practice all week. They're both probable heading into Sunday.

It's extremely early in the season, but the Eagles are fortunate not to be missing any starters.

Three players have been ruled out for the Jaguars, including former Eagles tight end Clay Harbor. Austin Pasztor, who started 12 games and appeared in 15 for Jackonsville in 2013, has also been ruled out.

Starting wide receiver Cecil Shorts III is questionable after having left practice early on Thursday with hamstring tightness. As I noted yesterday, the Jaguars only have four healthy wide receivers if Shorts can't play: Marqise Lee, Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Mike Brown. Lee, Robinson, and Hurns are all rookies.
