49ers vs. Eagles: 5 Things Philadelphia Must Do to Beat San Francisco - About
Speaking of an aerial attack, rookie slot wide receiver Jordan Matthews burst onto the scene with an impressive Week 3 performance. Matthews recorded eight receptions on eight total targets for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Matthews looked especially adept in scoring territory. Matthews will be matched up against 49ers nickel cornerback Jimmie Ward. Like Matthews, Ward is a rookie who has experienced some early struggles. Per Pro Football Focus, Ward has allowed eight receptions for three touchdowns on 11 targets so far. The 6-foot-3 Matthews has a distinct size advantage over the 5-foot-11 Ward.

Foles was tough even before he became an Eagle -
Nick Foles is tough. Those who witnessed his performance in the face of adversity and countless hits in last Sunday's squeaker over the Redskins will testify to this declaration of what is typically a subjective claim. But the Eagles quarterback had proved his mettle during his senior season at Arizona when he played behind an inexperienced offensive line.

Detailed Game Review – PHI 37 , WAS 34 - Iggles Blitz
LOGAN - Active game. Was in on 7 tackles, including a TFL. Good vs run. Got some penetration on an early run play. Looked like he got held/tripped and wasn’t able to make the play. No call. Tackled TE after a short catch on a delayed release. Blew up a RZ run in the late 1st. Overwhelmed the C, then shed him and tackled the RB. Got off the block of the LG and stuffed a run play that came to his side. Hustled to his left and got in on tackle of RB in the early 2nd Qtr. Had some real good moments vs the C.

Fan-Demonium: Beware The Desperate Team -
A couple of months ago, a quick glance at the Eagles' early season schedule would have stopped with the Week 4 matchup against San Francisco. The Niners have been to three straight NFC title games and looked to be loaded for another deep playoff run. That was then, this is now. The Niners come limping into this game with a record of 1-2. They have blown leads in each of the past two weeks and lost both games. The Niners are one of the worst second-half teams in all of football. They cannot score and they struggle to shut down their opponents. Injuries and suspensions have turned the Niners from title contenders into a struggling football team.

Experts break down Eagles' loss of Kelce - Daily News
WE ARE about to find out just how good Chip Kelly really is. We are about to find out if he can find a way to win without his most valuable offensive weapon. No, nothing has happened to LeSean McCoy or Nick Foles or Jason Peters. While all of them obviously are important cogs in the offense, none of them is as irreplaceable as Jason Kelce.

Eagles Week 4 breakdown: San Francisco 49ers - The 700 Level
The San Francisco 49ers may be off to a slow start, but any conversation about the franchise begins with its three consecutive trips to the conference title game. All that winning hasn’t exactly crippled the club’s ability to accumulate talent, either. The Niners made a whopping 23 selections in the past two drafts, while trading several more picks for vets. Yes, some big names are missing from the lineup right now. Additional contributors departed during the offseason. Regardless, this is a front office that knows how to reload. If recent draft classes pan out, San Francisco could be a perennial Super Bowl contender for years to come.

Oddd 3-man rotation filling Mychal Kendricks’ void - CSN Philly
Who’s the backup for Eagles inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks? It’s not an easy question to answer. Sometimes it’s Emmanuel Acho. Sometimes it’s Casey Matthews. Sometimes it’s Marcus Smith II. Mainly, it’s all of the above.
