LeSean McCoy Injury: Philadelphia Eagles running back cleared to return

Not a good sign for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Andy Lyons

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has suffered an injury and left the team's game against the Washington Redskins. His return is currently unknown.

McCoy was hurt on a running play. McCoy rushed for several yards before being contacted helmet-to-helmet by a Washington defender. McCoy remained down on the field for about a minute before finally getting up and running off the field on his own power. McCoy wanted to get back into the game but with a head injury possible, he was not allowed back in.

McCoy ran back into the locker room right before the end of the first quarter. Stay tuned for updates on McCoy's status.

UPDATE (1:55 PM EST) - LeSean McCoy has been cleared to return. That is good news for Philadelphia.
