According to a report from Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, wide receiver/cornerback Teddy Williams will not be joining the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad after all.
Teddy Williams will not be on the #Eagles practice squad this season, per source.

Well, this is strange. It was only a few nights ago that David Canter, who is Williams' agent, confirmed that Williams would be on the Eagles' practice squad.
Congratulations to #TeamDEC @Fast_Teddy on signing with the @Eagles practice squad.

CSN Philly Eagles Insider Geoff Mosher even went on to confirm the signing. Plus he tweeted out this interesting nugget:
How intensely did the Eagles pursue Williams? Per source, they paid double the practice squad money to sign him. Negotiations took a while.

Curiously enough, however, the Eagles never officially confirmed the signing of Williams. The team had the opportunity to do so when they announced the practice squad signing of quarterback G.J. Kinne, which came after the original Williams report. It's now obvious why the Eagles didn't confirm it; Williams won't be joining Philadelphia.
Farewell, Teddy. It was fun getting to know you.
With Williams not in the picture, the Eagles practice squad currently stands at 9, which is one short of the 10-man limit. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the Eagles use the final spot now.

QB G.J. Kinne
RB Matthew Tucker
S Ed Reynolds II
WR Will Murphy
NT Wade Keliikipi
OT Kevin Graf
WR Quron Pratt
