Announcement:
Brian Solomon, Sheil Kapadia, Brandon Gowton and Jimmy Kempski of Eagles Almanac will be doing a Reddit AMA Thursday at 1 PM EST on r/Eagles.
In preparation for the new season, Eagles Almanac is back again. We're happy to announce that contributors Brian Solomon, Sheil Kapadia, Brandon Gowton and Jimmy Kempski will be here tomorrow (Thursday) at 1 pm to answer our questions about the almanac, the upcoming seasons, favorite home remedies, and whatever else might be on your mind. The plan is for them to put up a thread tomorrow morning so even if you can't make it, you can still have your questions answered. This is a good opportunity to pick the brains of some of the best Eagles guys around, so we're pretty psyched and hope you will take advantage of it. (Click here to ask your question)

Video: Chip Kelly re-positioned his feet 29 times during his press conference today - Philly.com
I'm not sure the following video needs more explanation than the title. Hello Pulitzer.
Nick Foles: Polar bear - Philly.com
"I think the way he works, and his personality, it’s very mellow, almost like a polar bear. They look kind of deceivingly, like, ‘Oh, he’s just relaxing,’ but when it’s time to play, when it’s time to go, and the polar bear, it’s his time to hunt and he has to go get a seal, that dude is not messing around. He’s got this killer instinct in him and it doesn’t show when he’s off the field. It doesn’t show when you’re talking to him or you’re in Bible study with the guy. You’d never know this was a professional quarterback. He doesn’t talk about it. He doesn’t brag about it. But when it’s time to play, the dude just suits up, and I mean he can flat out sling the ball.
Depth Discussion - Iggles Blitz
One of the things we always do when talking about players close to the bottom of the roster is mention how they might be playing well, but have little hope of making the roster. While this is somewhat true, you never know when that will change due to injuries. It sounds like the light has finally gone on for CB Curtis Marsh and he’s playing the best football of his career. The problem is that he’s buried on the depth chart. Marsh is behind Cary Williams, Bradley Fletcher, Brandon Boykin, Nolan Carroll and rookie Jaylen Watkins. Being the 6th CB on a football team isn’t good. Teams normally only keep 5 corners. And Roc Carmichael is still in the mix. It is possible that Marsh is the #7 CB.
A Big Moment For Barkley - Birds 24/7
The dynamics have shifted a good deal in the short time Matt Barkley has been a member of the Eagles. When he was selected in the fourth round of the 2013 draft, the quarterback position was still up for grabs. There was Nick Foles and there was Michael Vick and there were questions about both. At that time Chip Kelly‘s depth chart was written in sand and with that came possibility, especially for a signal-caller that the head coach hand-picked.
2014 Eagles Training Camp highlighted by lack of drama, controversy - The 700 Level
Every day is exactly the same at Philadelphia Eagles training camp. 90 players go to work regardless of where they’re at on the depth chart. When the day is over, they all toe the company line, no matter if the question is about competition, playing time, conditioning, a mistake in practice, expectations for 2014, whatever—even if they’ve answered the same questions the same way 100 times already.
Inside showdown between Boykin, Matthews - Geoff Mosher, CSN Philly
One’s the hot-shot rookie, stealing all the camp headlines for his tireless work ethic and the damage he’s inflicting from the slot. The other’s the established slot corner, the guy who led the team in interceptions last year in just his second season. Jordan Matthews vs. Brandon Boykin.
Inside Training Camp: Conversation With Cooper - PE.com
On Wednesday's Inside Training Camp presented by Xfinity, we sit down with Riley Cooper to talk about his breakout 2013 season and put rookie nose tackle Beau Allen in focus ...
The Odds Of Winning The Indianapolis Colts’ Weather Challenge | FiveThirtyEight
The Colts are offering a half million dollar prize to any fan that can guess the correct game time temperature for all of the team's 20 games from the preseason through the regular season. You also need to guess whether the roof will be open and you get no passes if a game is flexed to a night game. There is virtually no chance anyone can guess this right.
DeSean Jackson injures ankle - SB Nation
Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson suffered what Jay Gruden called a "fluke" injury when cleated during a walkthrough. Gruden said he's unsure whether Jackson will be on the field Thursday against the New England Patriots.
