The Philadelphia Eagles finished their ninth training camp practice on Tuesday and there are still no major injuries to report. There are a few minor ones to note, however.
CB Brandon Boykin: The Eagles slot cornerback looked a little shaken up during Monday's practice at one point but he didn't miss too many reps, if any. Boykin was full go on Tuesday and he played well.
OLB Bryan Braman: Braman only missed a very few reps during Tuesday's practice because he had the wind knocked out of him at one point. Other than that he's fine. He said that coaches advised him to take a quick breather.
WR Jeremy Maclin: Maclin participated wore pads and participated in individual drills but did not take part of team drills. After practice Maclin noted that he was dealing with "leg soreness" but assured the media that he will be fine. He added that he could have participated in practice if he really needed to but he wasn't feeling 100%. Maclin said he expects to play against the Chicago Bears on Friday night in the Eagles' first 2014 preseason game.
NT Bennie Logan: Still recovering from a hamstring injury. Not 100% yet. Slowly being eased back in. Damion Square is taking the majority of first team NT reps with Beau Allen getting some time there.
Did not practice
CB Nolan Carroll II: Second day that Carroll missed practice. It's not clear as to why he sat out again.
WR Riley Cooper: Still in a walking boot. Dealing with a foot injury and could return soon. Cooper has been out since last Monday, July 28th.
WR Jeff Maehl: The walking boot is off but Maehl (ankle) still missed practice. Maehl has been out since Friday, August 1st.
RB Chris Polk: Hamstring. Out since Monday, July 28th.
C Julian Vandervelde: Back injury. Out since Monday, July 28th.
ILB Jake Knott: Hamstring. Out since Friday, August 1st.
The Eagles are fortunate to not have had any major injuries to this point*. At this date last year the team had already lost wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and linebacker Jason Phillips to ACL injuries.
So far, so good.
