According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan, former Philadelphia Eagles undrafted rookie free agent running back Henry Josey has signed a practice squad contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
#Jaguars have agreed to sign UDFA RB Henry Josey to their practice squad, per source. Good job by Jags since #Redskins also had interest.

Josey was undoubtedly a fan-favorite given his strong summer performance. Josey was the 2014 NFL preseason's leading rusher with 225 yards on 34 carries (6.6 average) and a long of 27 yards. He also pitched in with 3 receptions for 39 yards (13.0 average) and 1 TD.
Despite Josey's impressive performance, the Eagles were clearly not very interested in keeping him. The Eagles elected to keep veteran running back Chris Polk on the active roster and second year player Matthew Tucker on the practice squad instead.
Josey will return to Philadelphia next week as a member of the Jaguars when Jacksonville comes to town to face the Eagles. As a member of the practice squad, Josey will obviously not be active for the game itself.
The Eagles and Jaguars NFL Week 1 matchup kicks off on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 at 1:00 PM EST.
