The Philadelphia Eagles announced their final cuts, and to the surprise of haterz everywhere, four of the nine Ducks on the roster got the axe:
- Wade Keliikipi
- Kenjon Barner
- Josh Kaddu
- Will Murphy
The ex-Oregon players still on the roster are draft picks Taylor Hart and Josh Huff, UDFA Brandon Bair (who had a great training camp), Jeff Maehl and Casey Matthews.
In other Chip Kelly bias news, four graduates of the University of Cincinnati are on the team, only one less than Oregon's five. They are
- Brent Celek
- Connor Barwin
- Trent Cole
- Jason Kelce
Since 2007, the Bearcats' record is 66-25, tied for ninth best in FBS football. Then again, the Ducks are 76-16, tied for third behind only Alabama and Boise State.
The Bearcats were ranked 8th in the final 2009 AP poll, and 25th in 2011. Since 2009, the Ducks have finished 11th, 3rd, 4th, 2nd and 9th respectively.
Of course, the truly shocking bias is in favor of former Houston Texans. That team has basically become a farm club for Philadelphia, offering live training for 7 members of this roster: Maehl, Barwin, Donnie Jones, Demeco Ryans, Bryan Braman, James Casey and Andrew Gardner.
You might think these cuts would dampen the criticism over alleged Oregon bias, but rest assured, Casey Matthews -- who was on the team before Chip arrived -- and Jeff Maehl will generate plenty of hate to compensate for the four departed players. But the real reason Maehl is on this team is probably because he played for Houston.
