Sports Illustrated magazine recently released four different NFL 2014 Preview covers featuring two division rival quarterbacks on each edition.
Most interestingly to Philadelphia Eagles fans, third year quarterback Nick Foles shares a cover with longtime NFC East rival signal caller Tony Romo. Here's a look at the cover.

While Romo has proved to be somewhat of a jinx, I wouldn't be freaking out about Foles being "cursed" because he appears on the SI cover. This isn't even his first appearance; Foles was also on the SI cover late last season. For more on the "curse", read this great article from Brent Cohen:
The system within which the magazine business operates is built upon capitalizing on short-term over-performance. It’s no surprise that cover subjects experience a decline in performance/fame soon after. The level of play required to get Nick Foles on the cover of SI is almost certainly unsustainable; consequently, it won’t be sustained!
So the "Sports Illustrated Cover Curse", while not an actual "curse", is not complete bullshit. It’s a valuable contrary indicator for those who know how to properly evaluate it within the larger context of the player/team/league/etc…
The Eagles and Cowboys don't play until Week 13 this upcoming season. It already has the makings of a big game as it's scheduled to take place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th at 4:30 PM EST. Philadelphia and Dallas will meet up again just a few weeks later on Sunday, December 14th at 8:30 PM EST.
