For those of you that actually wonder to yourself, "Where is Danny Watkins now and what is he up to?", that question has now been answered. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the former Philadelphia Eagles first round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft in his Dallas. No, he's not playing football for the Cowboys. He's fighting fires. And he's very happy.
Almost a year ago, #Eagles cut ex-1st round OL Danny Watkins. Now, he’s done with football, working as a firefighter in Dallas & very happy

Watkins is still a free agent who is able to sign with any team but it doesn't seem he's rushing back to the NFL any time soon. Watkins spent the entire 2013 season with the Miami Dolphins after being released by the Eagles in final cuts. He played a grand total of 6 snaps for Miami.
Watkins, who will turn 30 in November despite spending only 3 seasons in the NFL, headlined what turned out to be a pretty terrible 2011 NFL Draft class for the Eagles. See below:

There's a decent chance only starting center Jason Kelce will be the only player from this class remaining on the Eagles' active 53-man roster after final cuts take place at the end this week.
Meanwhile, Danny will be enjoying his time in Dallas.
