Eagles injury report: Malcolm Jenkins returns

The latest on the Eagles injury situation.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Here's an update on the Philadelphia Eagles injury situation after twenty plus days of training camp practice and three preseason games.

Did Practice

S Malcolm Jenkins (rest)

Jenkins returned to practice on Monday after spending Saturday and Sunday resting from the team's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

OLB Connor Barwin (knee)

Barwin wasn't seem in warmups for the third straight practice. After practice was over he told reporters that he did indeed participate to an extent.

WR Arrelious Benn (concussion)

Benn was seen at practice so it's clear he passed the NFL's mandatory concussion protocol. Benn had been out since the Eagles-Steelers game.

RB LeSean McCoy (thumb)

No wrap was seen on McCoy's thumb.

RB Chris Polk (hamstring)

Third straight day of practice for Polk.

WR Jeremy Maclin (knee)

He's fine.

Did Not Practice

WR Josh Huff (shoulder)

Out since Friday, August 15th. Participated in this post-practice tennis ball drill.

C Julian Vandervelde (back)

Out of practice since Monday, July 28th. Had back surgery on August 9th.

---

The Eagles are still fortunate to not have had any season-ending injuries to this point*. At this date last year the team had already lost wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, linebacker Jason Phillips, wide receiver Arrelious Benn, and pass rusher Phillip Hunt to ACL injuries.
