Michael Vick loses Jets starting QB battle - Philly.com
That sentiment goes against the Michael Vick who always had extreme confidence in his own abilities in his five years in Philly. While Vick is not a quarterback you want to have starting for you if you have Super Bowl aspirations, the NFL is more fun when he is a starter somewhere. Unless Smith gets hurt or plays poorly, Vick will not be a starting QB in 2014.

Quick Q & A - Iggles Blitz
Is Alejandro Villanueva practice squad material? No. I’d be shocked if that happened. He made for a great story and it was fun to see him have some success, but he doesn’t project as someone that will ever play in the league and he’s not such a good practice player that you want to keep him around for that. Think of him as the DL version of Momah. Let him work out this offseason and come back next summer to see if he can take a big step forward. There is a bit of a difference. Momah had somewhat of a WR background. DL is very new to Villanueva. He can train all he wants, but I don’t know that he’ll ever develop DL skills. You really need a game setting for that.

Game Review: Eagles Defense Vs. Steelers - Birds 24/7
Fletcher Cox flashed more than he had previously in the preseason. He drove the right tackle to the ground and pressured Ben Roethlisberger on a third-down incompletion in the second. Cox tackled Blount on a 6-yard run in the second. Good effort on the very next play, making a tackle after a 3-yard run.

Eagles in a quandary at kicker - Inquirer
Lacking a true position battle for months, the Eagles have less than a week to figure out whether they have a kicker on their roster or if they will have to look elsewhere to fill a thankless position that teams sometimes overlook until it's too late. A series of decisions that stretches back to drafting Alex Henery has the Eagles crossing their fingers that he will find his nerve, or Cody Parkey will be the exception to the rule about rookie kickers, or some better option will drop into their laps.

Year after year, Nate Allen keeps winning the job - CSN Philly
He’s outlasted Jaiquawn Jarrett and Jarrad Page. He’s outlasted Quintin Mikell and O.J. Atogwe. He’s outlasted Kenny Phillips, David Sims, Patrick Chung, Colt Anderson, Macho Harris, Earl Wolff and Kurt Coleman. He’s even outlasted Marlin Jackson.

RG3 struggles in Baltimore - PFT
There was a lot of attention paid to the amount of hits that Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III took against the Browns last Monday night, once again raising questions about his ability to stay healthy for an entire season. Griffin took more hits on Saturday night against the Ravens, who sacked him three times during a dismal performance for Griffin and the Redskins offense. Griffin held the ball too long on a sack by Elvis Dumervil and took off a bit early at other times while playing behind an offensive line struggled all night as they shuffled players through different spots without finding too many positive results.

Sam Bradford leaves Rams game with left knee injury - SB Nation
The Rams' starting quarterback left Saturday's game against the Browns following a sack with what looked like an injury to his surgically repaired left knee.
