With two 2014 NFL preseason games in the books, the Philadelphia Eagles will play at Lincoln Financial Field for the first time this season. The Eagles will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the classic All-Pennsylvania match-up. (Shout out to the 1943 Steagles.) The Philadelphia-Pittsburgh showdown is the only NFL game scheduled for Thursday night and will be featured on NFL Network.

Quarterback Nick Foles and the Eagles offense will look to put up points, as the first-team will see action for the majority of this dress rehearsal game. Foles will likely have at least one of his starting receivers in the lineup. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles defense will look to prevent the Steelers from scoring anything close to the 42 points that the Patriots tallied the week before.

History Lesson
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have met 23 times in the preseason since 1975. The Eagles have gone 10-13 against the Steelers in exhibition match-ups.
The Eagles and Steelers have met 78 times in the regular season. The Eagles lead the series 47-28-3.
Due to World War II, the Eagles and Steelers briefly merged because of a lack of NFL players. The team was called "The Steagles" and the unit went 5-4-1 and finished third in the NFL's Eastern Conference. Coincidentally, it was Philadelphia's first winning season in its franchise history.
