Eagles Training Camp Injury Report: Jeff Maehl takes first team snaps

No major injuries have occurred through thirteen Eagles practices and one preseason game.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles finished their thirteenth training camp practice on Tuesday and there are still no major injuries to report. There are a few minor ones to note, however.

Full participation

WR Jeff Maehl (ankle)

Maehl returned to practice on Sunday, August 10th. Maehl spent time with the starters in team drills due to Riley Cooper sitting out.

Limited

WR Riley Cooper (foot)

Cooper returned to practice on Sunday, August 10th, but did not participate in team drills. Cooper wore pads on Tuesday but once again only participated in position drills.

Did not practice

CB Nolan Carroll II (hamstring/groin)

Out of practice since Monday, August 4th.

RB Chris Polk (hamstring)

Polk was seen doing some non-team drills on Sunday (shells and shorts, no helmet) but he didn't participate in Tuesday's more physical practice. Polk has been out since Monday, July 28th.

ILB Jake Knott (hamstring)

Out since Friday, August 1st.

C Julian Vandervelde (back)

Vandervelde recently had back surgery.

Unknown

I'm not sure of the status of ILB Casey Matthews (back) and RB Matthew Tucker (hamstring) because there were no updates available on them. Both players left the Bears game early on Friday night and sat out of Sunday's practice. Kelly did note on Sunday that neither injury is serious so there's no cause for major concern.

---

The Eagles are fortunate to not have had any major injuries to this point*. At this date last year the team had already lost wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, linebacker Jason Phillips, and wide receiver Arrelious Benn to ACL injuries.

So far, so good.
