Eagles Training Camp Injury Report: Riley Cooper returns

No major injuries have occurred through eleven Eagles practices and one preseason game.

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles finished their eleventh training camp practice on Sunday and there are still no major injuries to report. There are a few minor ones to note, however.

Full participation

WR Jeff Maehl

Maehl, who had been out of practice since Friday, August 1st, returned to full action on Sunday. Maehl had been dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to wear a walking boot. The walking boot is off and now Maehl is back in time to compete for a roster spot as a depth wide receiver.

NT Bennie Logan

Logan also returned to practice. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury that prevented him from playing against the Chicago Bears on Friday night. Logan was limited in practice last week but he looked like a full go on Sunday.

Limited

WR Riley Cooper

Starting wide receiver Riley Cooper, who had been dealing with a foot injury and was wearing a walking boot last week, returned to practice on Sunday. He wasn't a full participant as he only participated in individual drills and not team drills. Still, it's a sign of progress for Cooper.

RB Chris Polk

Polk is still dealing with a hamstring injury but he was seen doing some non-team drills on Sunday. He was not wearing a helmet. Polk has been out since Monday, July 28th.

Did not practice

C Julian Vandervelde

Vandervelde recently had back surgery. While no official timetable is known, it's possible Vandervelde will miss at least the remainder of training camp and preseason. Center David Molk will be required to step up in the absence of Vandervelde.

CB Nolan Carroll II

Carroll II is dealing with a hamstring/groin injury. He's been out of practice since Monday, August 4th.

ILB Jake Knott

Hamstring. Out since Friday, August 1st.

RB Matthew Tucker

Left the Chicago Bears game early with a hamstring injury. Chip Kelly said it isn't considered to be serious.

ILB Casey Matthews

Left the Chicago Bears game early with a back injury. Chip Kelly said it isn't considered to be serious.

---

The Eagles are fortunate to not have had any major injuries to this point*. At this date last year the team had already lost wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, linebacker Jason Phillips, and wide receiver Arrelious Benn to ACL injuries.

So far, so good.
