I often note that Philadelphia Eagles outside linebacker is a man of many talents. He's not only just a highly skilled and versatile player on the field. He's also well known for his respectable off the field efforts. Grantland coined Barwin as the "NFL's Modern Man." The environment-friendly Barwin isn't shy to support a good cause; he rides public transportation to work and has been very involved with the Eagles' partnership with NRG.
This Friday night (tomorrow, June 20th, 2014 at 8:00 PM) Barwin continues his effort to contribute to the Philadelphia area. Barwin's "Make The World Better" charity is hosting a benefit concert to raise money for improvements to the Ralph Brooks Park in South Philadelphia. The concert takes place at Union Transfer and features local bands such as Kurt Vile and the Violators, the Districts, and The Tonton's (Houston band). All proceeds from the concert will be donated and matched by MTWB for the revitalization project. TICKETS start at $25 and you can buy them here. VIP/Meet & Great tickets are also available. Eagles team gear will be raffled off. Barwin's teammates LeSean McCoy, DeMeco Ryans, Jason Kelce, Brent Celek, Trent Cole and others will be in attendance. So buy some tickets!
BGN Radio's James Seltzer interviewed the Eagles starting outside linebacker on Thursday. Barwin had a number of interesting things to say.
Highlights:
• "I heard you guys are the best Eagles football blog or podcast there is in Philly." :)
• Concert details
• Progress through OTAs and minicamp
• Difference from Year 1 to Year 2
• Defensive improvement

• And more!
