The Star-Ledger-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to Bleeding Green Nation's 2014 NFL Draft live blog. This feature will host constant updates regarding draft rumors, trade updates, hot takes and more, while also serving as an open thread for discussion. The Eagles are set to pick at No. 54, No. 83 and No. 86 on Friday night, but will they stay put? Stay tuned to BGN for the latest regarding Eagles moves and others made around the league.

[6:00 p.m. EST] The draft's second round is just an hour away. Stay with us as we break down picks, trade rumors and more. Also remember to follow @BrandonGowton and @Mike_E_Kaye on Twitter for breaking news and analysis as well. Tick, tock.

[6:16 p.m EST] Something to keep in mind tonight: Trust your own evaluations and your own board while taking in Chip Kelly's philosophies. The Eagles will take players that you may think are reaches or steal, but they are trusting their evaluations. A lot of fans preach that we should trust the Kelly "thinking" but booed or hated the Marcus Smith pick because they read something somewhere. Smith fits the Kelly way more than anyone on the defense outside of maybe Connor Barwin. Just stay patient and have fun tonight.

[6:22 p.m. EST] Bad news for the Browns and potential Eagles targets at wide receiver:

[6:28 p.m. EST] The Cowboys could be looking for a pass rusher in the second round, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport:

I think this is a very good option for Dallas as Ealy is one of the few first round graded players on my board. He is better off in a 4-3 defense at left end.

[7:00 p.m. EST] HERE WE GO! Texans are on the clock!

[7:18 p.m. EST] The Texans took Xavier Su'a-Filo with the No. 33 pick, which is really good one for them. He is awesome. The Cowboys traded their 2nd and 3rd round picks to the Redskins to selected Boise State defensive end Demarcus Lawrence. The guy is super talented but needs coaching and needs to stay clean off the field. That will not be a fun assignment for Jason Peters.

[7:27 p.m. EST] The Browns made a surprise move at drafted Nevada offensive lineman Joel Bitonio with the 35th pick. He can play guard or right tackle for them. The Raiders made a terrific move at No. 36 with Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr. Nice work, Reggie McKenzie.

[7:36 p.m. EST] The Falcons are switching to a 3-4 defense and selected the scariest player in the draft (to me) with the No. 37 pick, Minnesota's RaShede Hageman. The Buccaneers have landed another playmaker at No. 38 with Washington tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

[7:50 p.m. EST] And there goes Marqise Lee. The Jaguars made a great pick at No. 39 and Lee is easily their No. 1 wide receiver this year. The Seahawks have not traded back with the Lions. Detroit has selected defensive chess piece Kyle Van Noy. He will likely play SAM for them.

[7:54 p.m. EST] The Rams have traded a fifth round pick to get up to No. 41 to select Ohio State defensive back Lamarcus Joyner. Oh and the Eagles traded up to No. 42 to do this:

There it is...

[8:11 p.m. EST] The Eagles gave up a 4th round pick to move up ten spots. Those third round picks came in handy. The Giants took the best center in the draft, Colorado State's Weston Richburg at No. 43 and the Bills selected Alabama offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio  with the pick No. 44. Here's some more Eagles news I am reporting:

[8:17 p.m. EST] The Seahawks took Colorado wide receiver Paul Richardson. The Steelers have taken Stephon Tuitt from Notre Dame. Those are starters for good teams.

[8:20 p.m. EST] Redskins just took hustle machince, Stanford's Trent Murphy. Nice pick, but I am not sure I would have taken him there.

[8:28 p.m. EST] The Ravens have selected FSU defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan with the No. 48 pick. The Jets took tight end Jace Amaro at No. 49.

[8:34 p.m. EST] JEREMIAH ATTAOCHU!!!!!! He went to the Chargers after they traded up. Then the Bears drafted Ego Ferguson at No. 51. Attaochu pick is great for the Chargers, who have needed quality pass rush for year. Ferguson seems like a massive reach to me.

[8:54 p.m. EST] The Cardinals took my favorite tight end in the class, Norte Dame's Troy Niklas. The Packers picked up Fresno State wide receiver Davante Adams. A small running back spree went on with the Titans taking Washington's Bishop Sankey at the Eagles original No. 54 pick and then the Bengals took LSU back Jeremy Hill. The Broncos then made a deal to get Indiana's Cody Latimer. So much for being a first round pick.

[9:01 p.m. EST] The 49ers have traded up for Carlos Hyde at No. 57. They want MOAR runing backs!!!

[9:24 p.m. EST] Skipping around now. Patriots taking Jimmy Garoppolo is solid. He is smart. Tom Brady will love him holding his bags.
