The 2014 NFL Draft moves to Day 2 on Friday night after a fun and eventful round one that took place on Thursday. The Philadelphia Eagles will enter the second day with three picks due to a trade with the Cleveland Browns. The Eagles made a surprising but understandable selection in the first round at No. 26 with the selection of outside linebacker Marcus Smith. Will the Eagles have any more surprises in store for rounds two and three? Tune in to find out.
It all starts at 6:30 PM EST. You can watch the draft on ESPN/ESPN2 or NFL Network. (Or both, if you have a nice viewing setup.) Let's just hope the networks don't go to commercial when the Eagles are on the clock like they did last night, huh?
The Eagles still have a few "needs" to address. I put needs in quotes because the "best available strategy" factors in here, but need isn't irrelevant. The popular positional targets for the Eagles tonight will probably be wide receiver and cornerback. Safety could also be in the discussion. On the offensive side of the ball, it appears the Eagles could be in the market for a running back. It's hard to rule out offensive line depth as well. Or how about a tight end on day two for the second year in a row (Zach Ertz in 2013)?
