The Philadelphia Eagles did not surprise too many people when they traded down from No. 22. Howie Roseman moved the Eagles down just 4 spots to No. 26 in exchange for a third round draft pick from the Browns (No. 83 overall). People were surprised, however, when the Eagles' pick at No. 26 was revealed to be outside linebacker Marcus Smith of Louisville.
I wasn't sure how to feel at first. It certainly wasn't what I was expecting, but I think it's a rational pick. The Eagles definitely did need pass rushing help and Smith seems to fit what they want out of their 3-4 linebackers.
