2014 NFL Draft: Which Position Will the Eagles Pick?

The question is simple. Vote in our poll.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With the 2014 NFL Draft only days away I thought it would be worthwhile to see what everyone thinks the Eagles are going to do with their first selection. Today's poll focuses on "What position will the Eagles pick first?", while tomorrow's poll will focus more specifically on individual players at that position.

First, let's take a look at the position breakdown via my Eagles Draft Prospect Interest Tracker.

30 WR
20 RB
19 CB
14 DE
14 QB
12 OLB
12 S
12 TE
8 OG
8 ILB
8 LB
7 DTs
6 OTs
3 DL
3 OL
2 OT/OG
1 DE/OLB
1 NT
1 K

Sitting at pick No. 22 there are a number of options the Eagles could consider. Here's how I see each position:

Wide Receiver:

The Eagles are bound to add at least one receiver from this draft. Will it be as early as round one? It could be. The Eagles have shown more interest in wide receivers than any other position. There could be a number of quality options available at No. 22. The Eagles hardly have to go receiver here, but it's easy to see why people think they would.

Cornerback

Yet another position where the Eagles have shown a lot of interest. There hardly seems to be a consensus top cornerback and it appears some could be available for the Eagles.

Safety

Howie Roseman seemed to indicate he wasn't a fan of the safety depth in this class. Does that mean he thinks there's value in finding one early or that the class as a whole just isn't good?

Linebacker

The Eagles need a pass rusher. They also need a future replacement for DeMeco Ryans.

Offensive Line

Roseman indicated that offensive tackle is one of the deepest positions in the draft. Could the Eagles surprise by taking another offensive lineman?

Quarterback

Johnny Football?!?!?!?

Tight End

As long as Chip Kelly is the Eagles' head coach the team will continue to stockpile tight ends.

Defensive Line

The Eagles have a good mix of youth and talent on the defensive line, but some think the Eagles need to get bigger at nose tackle.

Other

Anything I missed? The Eagles have shown a lot of interest in running backs but it's hard seeing them take one in the first round.
