Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada
People spoke of the Broncos offense like WWE fans talk about The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, unbeatable. That is, until they faced the Seahawks defense who held them to 8 points. It's hard to justify taking a defensive player at this spot for two reasons. The Seahawks still have a majority of their impact players and there wasn't a player who stood out so much it would dumb to pass on them. That being said, I did a little research on nfl.com. Here is a link that made me target offensive line early on.

The Seahawks ranked in the bottom third of the league in sacks allowed and QB hits allowed. This was before they lost Breno Giacomini to the Jets. They need to get a replacement. Russell Wilson is a smaller QB and shouldn't be taking too many hits. They lost Golden Tate, but now they have a full season of (hopefully) healthy Percy Harvin. Percy Harvin is a clear upgrade over Golden Tate and while the depth hasn't changed, I feel that the WR class is extremely deep and they will be able to get one later. I feel the same way with TE. They could target Martavis Bryant in the second round and CJ Fiedorowicz in the third round.
The reason I chose Bitonio at this selection was a combination of his skill set and versatility. He has experience at guard and tackle. This allows the Seahawks to take a guard or tackle later in the draft if the right one is there at a future pick. Bitonio is going to help keep Wilson on his feet for years to come, and as Eagles fans, we all saw the difference between the offensive line of 2012-2013 and 2013-2014.
