Xavier Su'a-Filo, OG, UCLA
Now from the front office standpoint this is the smart move by Denver. They are here to win now, not later. The years of having Peyton Manning are dwindling down. What can we expect, 2 more years from this guy maybe 3 if he stays off his back?

Must Reads
The Broncos have gone out in free agency and they added players like DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and TJ Ward to bolster up their defense which took some major losses this year. These guys are not young themselves and there is one thing they are all missing and that is a Super Bowl ring. They also reach out and grabbed a wide receiver in Emmanuel Sanders to add to that potent offense. Will he be able to replace Eric Decker? More than likely as Peyton Manning usually makes the worst or the worst look pretty good.
Denver is relying on Manning to carry this team to the promise land and what better way to ensure this then by adding someone that is going to protect him. It will also help stretch the running game. Denver will add a running back soon enough to the team later in this draft (bonus selection 4th round Charles Sims, RB, West Virginia).
Overall Su'a-Filo's pass blocking is above average and his run blocking is better than anyone in this draft. Su'a-Filo will get down and nasty and push his guy around in the running game. He can pull, trap and do all the things you can ask an OG to do. He will be helping protect Manning's backside and will be a good upgrade to an offensive line that is, in my opinion, average at best. Peyton making the reads and getting the ball out as quickly as he does normally helps their performance look better anyway.
With Denver losing Zane Beadles to Jacksonville in free agency opens everything up for Su'a-Filo to jump right in and make an impact on the offensive line. He has the right measurable - 6'4", 307lbs which is right on par for the OL (Denver's OL avg. 6'4" 314lbs). Reports indicate he could use some strength training but when you are gifted at what you do you can work on the small things just to get even better.
