Sean Lee Injury: Dallas Cowboys linebacker helped off the field during OTAs

Oft-injured Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee was seen being helped off the practice field in Dallas.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

According to ESPN Dallas reporter Calvin Watkins, oft-injured Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee was seen being helped off the team's practice field during OTAs on Tuesday. More details:

Lee, who is a tremendous talent, has never remained healthy enough to play a full season. Most recently he missed five of the Cowboys' last six games in 2013, which included the Eagles-Cowboys season finale battle for the NFC East crown. He's missed a total of 15 games in the past two seasons combined.

Lee is a critical component to the Cowboys' defense. In Philadelphia's 17-3 loss to Dallas on October 20th, Lee was a big reason the Eagles struggled to run the ball with any success. The Eagles only finished with 84 rush yards that day, which was their third lowest total in the regular season. Philadelphia rushed for an improved 137 yards in the season finale.

No official word on the extent of Lee's injury at this time. Stay tuned.
