It's that time of year, folks. It's the time of the NFL offseason where there's just not much going on. So while we wait for OTAs to start next week (May 27th), I figured it's time to bring back one of my favorite annual posts: The Eagles Most Bizarre Tweeter Award!
It all started in 2012 when Eldra Buckley was the first one to take home the grand prize. 2013's winner was former Eagles and current Redskins defensive end Clifton Geathers. In hindsight, both of those decisions were pretty easy. The same can't be said for this year's award winner. There were several top candidates, and I even asked around for some suggestions.
With that said, I'm happy to announce your new champion of Eagles bizarre tweeting legacy...rookie nose tackle Beau Allen. Behold:

Forget about "game tape." Airport tape is what caused the scouts to fall in love with Allen.
Putting myself into twitter exile for awhile so that I can focus on the exciting opportunities I have coming up #priorities #staytuned

Well, this isn't good. Allen's creativity will be missed. Too many athletes on Twitter are just plain... boring. Their tweets lack any semblance of creativity. That's certainly not the case with Mr. Allen.
So do yourself a favor and follow @Beau_Allen. And let's hope he makes his return to the tweet game sooner than later. Twitter needs more athletes like him.
